Case study: We installed an automatic Palletmax 7500 pallet nailing machine with a stacking robot, an outfeed station for stacks of finished pallets, and a separate station for producing perimeter base pallets - for a customer whose non-standard, large, and heavy pallets could not be handled by standard automatic machines.

We completed this project in two stages: first, the assembly and commissioning of the machine, then the full implementation with the robot, gripper, and perimeter base pallet station. Below is the entire process from assembly to an operational line.

The challenge

The client's pallets presented a significant challenge: their unusual construction, large dimensions, and considerable weight required an exceptionally flexible and robust solution. According to MDP Serwis, the Palletmax 7500 was, at the time of installation, the only automatic machine on the market capable of handling the complex requirements of this particular client.

Solution: Palletmax 7500 with robot and perimeter base pallet station

The installed automatic machine combines several modules operating as a single line:

Module Function
Nailing machinePalletmax 7500, 4 Bizon nailers
Gripperproduction of large and heavy pallets
Stacking robotautomatic stacking of finished pallets
Stack outfeedcollection of finished pallets in stacks
Perimeter base pallet stationproduction of perimeter base pallets
Chain conveyorcollection of finished pallet stacks
Jigseasily interchangeable - to be prepared in-house or ordered from the manufacturer

Implementation process

We carried out the installation in stages. First, we installed the Palletmax 7500 pallet nailer itself with four Bizon nailing guns and a gripper for large, heavy pallets, adding a perimeter base pallet production station and a chain conveyor for finished pallet stacks. In the next stage, we completed the assembly of the stacking robot and the outfeed station for stacks of finished pallets, completing the entire process from nailing to a finished stack ready for transport.

Results

The customer received the only solution on the market - according to MDP Serwis - capable of fully automatically handling their non-standard, large, and heavy pallets: from nailing, through robotic stacking, to the collection of finished stacks and perimeter base pallet stacks.
